I was challenged to come up with a publicity or a promo to drum up today’s volunteer weekend in our metro manila churches. And in Victory Greenhills I came up with a promo where in volunteers would post in my Facebook wall reasons or revelations why they volunteer and also invitations to prospective volunteers out there. I even threw in some Starbucks GC as a marketing ploy at first but reading through their messages that indeed we have the most committed, passionate and simply the best volunteers. Here are some of those who made it in my short list for the Starbuck GC.

AUSTIN CHUA, Student, KIDS Worship Drummer, 14 years old.

I am part of the music ministry :) i love to volunteer because everything is for the Lord. i am giving back everything He has given me. my talent especially :) volunteering at kids church is great. i love playing for the kids and i love helping them get to know God better in the form of praise and worship. :) by volunteering.

Janica Borja, Student, Worship Team & KIDS Church, 17 years old Bass Player

But now, I’ve realized that God does not care if I’m a professional in playing bass, but He always looks at the heart. Having that heart that is humble and devoted to Him.

Chel Sison, Nurse, KIDS Church Teacher & Youth Ministry

whenever I impart the Word of God all the more I am being refreshed, rejuvenated. Child-like faith is very contagious indeed. I am always thrilled on how they worship and I know that God moves in the lives of the little ones. And so this is my prayer that I will desire more to serve and love the Lord with all of me.

Victor Tan, C.E.O., Ushering

Service is a form of worship coz we love God n it is pleasing to HIM, it is also a form of giving ur time to God for the work of his kingdom. and i thank the lord that He chose a lowly me to be a channel of blessing to other people.

Jojie Sakay, Former Minister, Children’s Church

I had served the Lord in the full-time ministry in my former church. Also worked in the Campus ministering to students. After many years of taking the break off from the ministry and becoming a full-time mom to my kids, I am now with the Kids’Church in VCF. What I found most precious among the kids is also what Jesus found as of utmost importance- their Faith! The ‘childlike faith’ which continuously inspires me :)

Noemi Boyles, Graphic Printer, Creative Team

.we find joy while learning, expressing one’s thoughts thru creative ways…we’re having
fun simply serving the greatest Artist of us all…. doing this ministry will never be a burden
but something to look forward to week after week..

Jeric San Agustin, Sales Executive, Tech Team

I love to volunteer because it gives me the opportunity to connect and serve with the church. I love to volunteer because my boss is God, my compensation is Grace and my 13th month pay is Salvation. :-)

Charles Bautista, Student-Music Major, Worship Team

I have found the true meaning of playing music for a living.
it is priceless, precious, fulfilling and perfect moment. Not because of my own ability but only by God’s grace that I am able to lead worship. All we need is a genuine heart to do things then God will carry us into completion.

Frances Martinez, Head Hunter, Children’s Church Admin

sa KC: PACKAGE DEAL: d ka lang makakakita ng mga guwapo/magagandang teachers…sari2 pa ang SNACKS na matitikman!!! *bow*

Mich Orosa Ople, Media ABC5, KIDS Church

I learned so much–most importantly that it doesn’t take much to love them. Just be a kid again. The best part was learning the true meaning of “child-like” faith from them: loving ang trusting God 110%.

Pauline Garcia, Nurse, Children’s Church

i see them as really really good soils where we can plant a lot of good seeds and it was like investing on something na although ndi ntn alam kung kailan..pero sure na may makikita kang great fruit in it’s perfect time. the feeling is so fulfilling and exciting! :) love love Kids Ministry! :)

Mike Eijansantos, Nurse, KIDS Church

The most memorable experience, the praise dance! hehehe! nahasa din english ko… hehehe!

Allan Magtoto, Trainer, Ushering Ministry

Being part of the ministry opened a lot of doors for me – doors of character formation, servant leadership, fellowship, growth and a lot more. I would see prominent people serving as an usher, giving people their warm smiles and guiding them where to sit.

Thanks a lot Ptr. Larry, but the passion you have for the kids is enough encouragement to all of us who volunteer for KC. God bless Pastor :)
