Gelo goes Green!

My two boys have their individual preferences when it comes to color and especially university. Since birth Gelo loves the color blue and Monty loves green. In their university choices, Gelo plans of going to Ateneo and Monty wants La Salle. But this time Gelo Goes Green.

Gelo has been an advocate of saving nature and recycling since mid 2009. He collects plastic bottles, cans etc. He comes home from school and he would be carrying plastic bottles he collected from his friends & classmates in school. The best thing is that he collects but donates the proceeds to someone in need.

At home we train them to conserve electricity & water. They are trained to remove the plug from the socket of appliances not in use. Also not to waste water, I remember Gelo refusing to go swimming with his friends because his friends were intentionally draining the pool with buckets.

Am so proud of Gelo and his advocacy. You may think that it’s a very small part, but it is significant. We all have a part to play in this effort to pray and save our planet. Collectively we can make a big difference.
