Healthy Political Exercise

Just came home from a political exercise, election for level representative for school year 2010-2011 of my son’s school. I can’t help but surmise the importance of integrity in a leader as I have seen in this exercise. And with the upcoming election in mind, let us pray and use wisdom in discerning the leaders of our nation who we will choose & support.

A leader should have integrity; he should have the guts to put his foot down to what he believes in, even when it is not popular. A leader who has the backbone to implement what was agreed upon and not be swayed by sudden shifts in the current. A leader who implements something that as a group you have agreed upon. A leader that has an unblemished character that doesn’t leave any room for doubt. A leader who fears God, who is answerable to Him and not beholden to anyone else.

“Good leaders abhor wrongdoing of all kinds; sound leadership has a moral foundation.” Proverbs 16:12 (The Message Translation)

“A leader of good judgment gives stability.” Proverbs 29:4 (The Message Translation)
