Got home past ten last night after manning Victory Greenhills with the families of Pastors Dennis and Jayson. Our heartfelt gratitude to the overwhelming response of our spiritual families in helping out our church members who were affected by the severe flooding. I pray that all is well with you and your families as you read this blog. It was an experience for all of us that I’m praying would be a reminder for all of us. Here we see how all of us are equal in God’s eyes. Everyone was affected and not spared by God’s nature. This is brought about by severe climate change because of our neglect in taking care of God’s creations.
Anyways, am not here to preach about global warming and all. As I was doing my devotional it is so timely that
God reminded me of casting our cares to God. This is the perfect time for all of us to face reality hard in the face. That we can’t control situations like this, reality is only God is in control. Casting our cares to God is a choice, but for us this is something that takes pain to do. We have a difficulty in trusting God, the last thing we do is letting go and letting God take control. There are times that we would rather worry.
The Bible says on 1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your care upon Him for He cares for you.†Whether big or small He is asking us to give it to Him and He will take care of it. God can never take control of something unless we let go and turn it over to Him.
God knows that we need help and that we can’t do it alone on our own, He is ever ready to take the load and carry it for us, the question is will we let Him?
