I just got back from my family’s paradise, Anvaya. After the 12-week schooling that I underwent, it was a much-needed respite. My classmates joined us Wednesday and we really had blast. My family loves Anvaya because as a family we enjoy nature and water, may it be pool or the beach.
While in Anvaya, I was recounting the days that we were in school and I was evaluating how I survived it. Again, am not fond of school. Apart from God’s grace, it is because I enjoyed it. I enjoyed my classmates, I enjoyed our cool teachers, I enjoyed our classes and I am enjoying learning now. You have to enjoy what you do to be able to love what you do and then you will be effective. That I learned from P. LA Mumar.
My transition from businessman to pastor was a smooth one. First because it’s a calling from God, then it’s because I would be doing what I enjoy most. I enjoy serving God; I enjoy preaching; I enjoy seeing changed lives; I enjoy making disciples; I enjoy sharing God’s Word and that’s why I love my job now.
Passion, this is why I enjoy what I’m doing, passion for the lost, passion for the kids, passion to train teachers and passion to serve God. Some are passionate in sports or in their hobbies but we have to be passionate in everything we do. Whatever job you are in now, you have to enjoy it for you to excel.
