CHARACTER and ENCM

IMG_0677Am graduating this Tuesday, I underwent 12 weeks of intense training in Every Nation Campus Ministry. This schooling is something that I wouldn’t even imagine that I could accomplish. I don’t really liked school; I wasn’t even able to finish college. Apart from my family, my greatest fan and support system, not finishing school is one of my encouragements to finish the schoolings I underwent in Every Nation from ENLI to ENCM.

If you can sum it up into one word the lessons I learned in my 12 weeks training, it will be CHARACTER. I got a 12-week training in my over-all character reformation. What I learned is that character has nothing to do with your skill or gifting. Here are some thoughts from my notes:
- Man is 10% Gifting & 90% Character
(like an iceberg, the tip is only what you can see, true character is underwater) iceberg-aerial-underwater_21505
- Character is what you are in the dark.
- Character is how God knows you to be. Reputation is what you think you are.
- The test of your character is not what you have done (success, accomplishments, millions, cars et al.) but who you really are in the inside.

Romans 5:3 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Perseverance births a person’s character. I persevered in this school; I have never worked this hard ever. I averaged only 5 hours of sleep the 12 weeks of schooling. I have read more books in this 12-week training than the past 2 years.

You would never experience perseverance without suffering; I sacrificed and I suffered in this school and I FINISHED STRONG. I did so because I relied not on my own strength or not just on my family’s support but I relied primarily on my Father in heaven. He has given me grace for this season of my life.

James 4:6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:
”God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

I was tested, I was humbled through this training and I’m so grateful that I was blessed with enough grace to strive and accomplish the task that was given to me. I want to take this opportunity to honor and thank the ENCM staff: P. Joseph, P. CJ, Rhia, Chryso, Roland and our coordinator Maya for equipping and imparting us with these awesome tools as we fulfill our God-destined calling. Kudos for a very excellent and very strategic training.
